NMC to change 9,000 water meters in Dharampeth Zone

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is ready to change 9,000 water meters installed under 24x7 water supply scheme in Dharampeth Zone, informed Jansamasya Nivaran Sangharsh Samiti. N L Sawarkar, Secretary, in a press release issued here said, Municipal Commissioner Aseem Gupta, Executive Engineer Shashikant Hastak and NMC Standing Committee Chairman Praveen Bhisikar came to attend a complaint of water meter in Deotale Layout. During the visit, Gupta accepted to change all meters and install the meters of any company selected by local residents.

He also said that the local residents of Dharampeth Zone who are having water supply under 24x7 water supply scheme may pay the water bills as per 150 units for three months. After comparing the reading of new meters, the next water bills will be adjusted, said a press release. President of Jan Aakrosh Samiti Dr Anil Laddhad, Sawarkar and other office bearers of these organisations thanked Gupta and Bhisikar for taking cognisance of the complaints.
